Christian Ploennigs aka DJ NordFreak, discovered his passion for electronic dance music in 1998.

After excessive clubbing, totally impressed by the scene, it didn't take long for the urge to grow to become a DJ.
Back then not having much money, he informed himself how to go about realizing his dream with little means.

He startet off with so called "PC Mixing". His Mix sessions found great feedback in his circle of friends and one of them had the idea that he should send a demo mix to the local internet radio.Reluctant at first, Chris the went ahead and started off in the internet radio which again got lots of positive feedback, feeling him more secure about his skills everytime. Playing on the radio opened the door to relationships to other DJ's.Using these connections the doors to the DJ career started to open...

In the middle of 2003 Chris meet Andreas Ewert (Andrew Dawn), who wasa resident DJ in several Clubs at the time. Andrew took Chris under his wing and showed him the ropes. The door to the DJ career opened a bit further...

Soon Chris's only thought was "this is exactly what I want too!". So there was no other way, but to finally get some equipment.
In 2004 he managed to get a used DJ-set (2 turntables & a mixer) from a friend. Ready for take off!

In December 2004 his hard work was rewarded. At the "Trance|Base" Dj contest he took 2. place! Shortly after that he started his own events such as "Hardbase-X-Plosion" and "Trance Vibrations".

These days his extensive style covers genres from Trance, HardTrance, HandsUp, HardStyle, Electrohouse and more! Allthough his favorite style being driving progressive (BeNeLux-) Trance.

In the meantime little Chris has grown up to a sincere professional that is in touch with the crowd and knows how to drive the masses wild, showing off this talent on a regular basis at clubs all over germany.

Christian Plönnigs aka DJ NordFreak hat seine Vorliebe zur elektronischen Tanzmusik im Jahr 1998 entdeckt.

Nach ausgiebigen Discobesuchen dauerte auch gar nicht lange, dass in Ihm das Verlangen wuchs DJ zu werden. zu sehr hatten Ihn die damaligen Ereignisse beeindruckt. Da damals noch das nötige "Kleingeld" fehlte informierte er sich, wie er dieses mit einfachen Mitteln ändern könnte.

Die Wahl fiel auf sogn. "PC-Mixing". Seine Mixe fanden große Nachfrage im Bekanntenkreis. Irgendwann kam jemand auf die Idee, er solle diese Mixe doch mal im Internet-Radio der Öffentlichkeit vorspielen. Nach anfänglichem Zögern traute er sich und bekam von seinen Hörern eine Menge Feedback und gewann hierbei sehr viel Selbstvertrauen für seinen weiteren Werdegang. Hier durch entstanden dann auch Kontakte zu anderen DJs bei denen er dann natürlich auch über die Schulter geschaut hat. Schaden konnte es ja nicht...

Mitte 2003 lernte Chris dann Andreas Ewert (Andrew Dawn) kennen, welcher als Resident in verschiedenen Clubs damals tätig war. Dieser nahm sich seiner an und lud Ihn des Öfteren mal zu sich in den Club ein. Chris sammelte Erfahrung um Erfahrung...

Schon bald war sein Interesse soweit geweckt, dass er beschloss: "Das will ich auch !" Also musste dann wohl oder übel auch etwas Equipment angeschafft werden. 2004 war es dann soweit; Er erwarb von einem Bekannten ein DJ-Set (2 Plattenspieler & 1 Mixer). Jetzt konnte es los gehen...

Im Dezember 2004 gab Ihm der Erfolg Recht. Er schaffte auf der Veranstaltung "Trance|Base" bei einem DJ-Contest den 2. Platz! Hinzu kamen eigene Projekte/Veranstaltungen wie z.B.: "Hardbase-X-Plosion" oder auch die "Trance Vibrations"

Seine umfangreicher Style umfasst heute Trance, HardTrance, HandsUp, HardStyle, Electrohouse und mehr! Sein favorite Style ist eindeutig der treibende progressive (BeNeLux-) Trance.

Mittlerweile ist aus dem kleinen Chris schon ein kleiner Profi geworden der weiß wie er die Massen zu bewegen hat....
